On May 18, 2013, the Ayden Josiah Foreman Foundation kicked off its initial fundraiser with the First Annual AJF7 Benefit Concert held at Abundant Life Church of Christas Neale Campus located in Henrico, Virginia.A The crowd, adorned in their AJF7 t-shirts, gathered in expectation of what the evening would bring.A After prayer and a heart-felt welcome by Delegate Joe Morrissey, the celebration began with Richmondas own gospel recording artist, Van Boyd, who blessed the crowd with his anointed voice, getting the event off to an awesome start.A Next, we were dazzled by the beautiful, melodious a cappella tones of Kim Fox Knight. A ALCCas church boy and recording artist, Dawiyd, rocked the stage with his gospel hip hop rhymes. A Another Richmond area recording artist, LaTarsha Woods, encouraged crowd participation as she closed out the first half of the concert.
Throughout the event, information about the foundation was presented by video clips.A Then, it was time to make donations.A The response was overwhelming and the total contributions grew to over three-thousand dollars.
The lights were dimmed, the spot light turned up as we continued the celebration with Elder Lamont Washington, a.k.a a?Church Boya?, who broke down his hip hop rhymes where even the older generation could understand them.A He was followed by James Henley and Nu Dvotion who graced the stage with harmonious melodies and got the crowd rocking with their unique style of praise and worship.
a?Finally coming to the stage, was National Recording Artists, Godas Image.a?A Branden, Lamonte and Curtis blessed the people with their tight harmonies and rocked the house with their popular hit, a?Get Upa?.A The crowd was on their feet, clapping their hands and giving praise to God.A It was the perfect ending to an awesome evening of celebrating gospel music.
The AJF Foundation would like to thank all those who came out to support this event and a special thanks to all the recording artists for lending their God-given gifts to this cause.
